Primitive and rustic work table from northern Sweden. The table is from the turn of the century 1700 to 1800 and is in painted pine. Two drawers with hand carved wooden decorations and original wooden knobs on the drawers. An unusual detail is how the drawers are constructed and controlled. Inside the drawers there’s a latch connected to a rail underneath which keeps the drawers in line – see pictures. Distressed paint from the mid 1800s with a good authentic patina. Healthy and solid frame. Height to rim is 47 cm.
