Green long case clock in the classical rococo shape. Scraped to the original first layer of paint of which the colour is a pale green. Made in northern Sweden and dated 1834 with a green toned clock face. The clock has a hand carved wooden shell at the top of the head. Healthy and solid frame in pine with naturally distressed paint and authentic patina. The key hole at the back of the clock is where the clock was attached with a large hook onto the wall behind during the 1800s. Minor dry cracks – see detail pictures. Hand wrought hinges and hardware in iron. This clock has to stand against a wall.
The clock comes with the original mechanism, weights and pendulum. Working at the time of writing but we leave no guarantees on the future functions.
