Late 1700s rococo cabinet from Jämtland in northern Sweden. The cabinet is a country furniture with traces of the original paint. Made in Swedish pine with traces of the original light paint and a patina that has naturally developed over time adding to the genuine antique character. The cabinet has a bonnet cornice and raised panels on both the arched doors as well as on the short ends of the upper cabinet, the latter which is an unusual detail. Made in two separate parts with original hardware in copper which is another unusual detail. Working lock and key. Healthy and solid frame. The upper cabinet is slightly less deep than the bottom.
