Gustavian style country desk in pine from Hälsingland in northern Sweden. The table is a genuine Swedish country house furniture and has the authentic patina of time. Made with a single drawer in the rim and the straight tapered legs typical to the gustavian period. Painted with the original rich blue paint which is an unusual colour to see on Swedish antiques from this time. Dating on the drawer 1861. The paint has some distress and traces of use, especially on the table top. Height to the rim is 59 cm.
