Antique wood trough bowl in folk art from Sweden made during the mid 1800s, around 1850. The bowl is a utility item which was used daily in the household for storing and serving food. The pine of the bowl has a warm patina after almost 200 years of use which has made the surface completely smooth. The continues use has also made the wood darken over time. There is a minor loss of material on one edge, see picture, however that was made a long time ago.
