Antique Swedish baroque cabinet. The cabinet is a genuine Swedish country house furniture from the late 1700s. It is a proper statement piece made by hand in solid pine. The cabinet is painted and has the original paint which has become worn and distressed by time. The pine underneath shines through in places which adds to the character.
The cabinet is unusually well-crafted. Take an extra look at the boards at the back of the cabinet and the interior and keep in mind it was made 250 years ago. Original lock and key, both in working condition. The cabinet is made in four parts; the base, the lower cabinet, the upper cabinet and the pediment. The pediment was likely replaced during the mid 1800s. The base measures 141×64 cm, the frame is 127 cm wide. The depth is 56 and 40 cm of the lower and upper cabinet respectively. The base to the table top measures 108 cm.
