Antique Swedish chest on chest in gustavian style made around 1780 in Stockholm, Sweden. The chest is made in a classic, straight gustavian style. There are some lingering rococo influences visible in the lightly curved legs. Frame in solid pine made in two parts, with old hardware in brass from the mid 1800s. Original handles on the sides in iron. The chest is dry scraped by hand down to the original, first layer of paint. The lock to one of the drawers is missing and one of the smaller drawers has a small dry crack in the base of the drawer. Healthy and solid frame. The table top measures 125 cm by 60 cm. It’s 112 cm in height.
