Antique Swedish corner cabinet made during the early 1800s. The cabinet is made in the transitional style where rococo became neoclassical, or gustavian, style during the early 1800s in northern Sweden. Made by hand in two parts from solid pine. The cabinet has a rococo curved pediment and characteristically neoclassical straight doors with original fluted decor. The cabinet has an older renovation from the 1980s where the paint was renovated in a 18th century style which has then gained patina and character. Working lock and key.
The lower cabinet measures 105 cm in height, 80 cm in depth and 117 cm straight across. The short ends facing the walls measure 82 cm across. The upper cabinet measures 125 cm tall which makes the total height 230 cm.
