Antique Swedish dining table in folk art from the early 1800s. The table is a so called trestle table with a heavy table top on a sturdy leg frame. Made in northern Sweden around 1820. Original condition with an original wood bare table top – made of only three boards of pine. The table top has some smaller marks and traces of use. Minor loss of material on one end at the joint between the boards and some minor old traces of wood worms from a long time ago.
Two slightly larger holes on one short end, the holes were used to place candles directly into the table top. The table has a very attractive patina which can only be achieved by 200 years of use. Bevelled leg frame with original paint. Authentic distress and patina. Healthy and stable frame where all parts are original to the table and have been together since creation. The height of the table top is good for sitting, 76.5 cm tall.
