Drop shaped wooden bowl with unusually thin sides. Original untouched red paint. Nice patina and very good condition. An unusual detail is the brass handles on either sides – of which one is still remaining. Painted monogram and dating 1809. Manufactured in Härjedalen in northern Sweden.
These objects were common during their time of use but because they were expendables they are difficult to find today. Their main use were for household cooking and storage of food. The bowl is a genuine antique and will therefor have some imperfections due to age and use.
