Folk art wood platter from northern Sweden made around 1840 to 1850. The Swedish name is “sovelfat” which means a platter used for serving sweets or delicacies – “sovels”. The platter is wood bare and has never been painted. It’s handmade and has the authentic patina of a 200 years old antique. The platter is an easy but effective way to bring antique charm and character to any space. In addition to the patina it also has carved details in the shape of layered circles.
