Gustavian drop leaf table in painted pine with double leafs and gates. Untouched original faux paint made to imitate birch. Hand made hinges in in iron riveting the extra table tops to the main section. Made in northern Sweden around 1810. Healthy and solid frame.
The middle section of the table tops is more worn and the paint is more distressed because the table would usually stand with the extra table tops folded down in front of a window. The extra tops were then folded up and used during meals. The mid section is 38 by 118 cm and each extra top is 67 cm making the total width 172.
