Low red gustavian sideboard from Northern Sweden. The sideboard is from the early 19th century, around 1810 to 1820, and is unusually low and wide. Untouched original condition with original paint from the early 1800s. The faux paint imitates mahogany while the interior is bare wood. Both doors have hand carved wooden decorations in all corners. The lock and key are in fully functional condition. Because this is an authentic Swedish antique there are some traces of 200 years of use, resulting in a natural wear and patina. The frame is healthy and solid. There are some minor ink stains inside the drawers. Height to the table top is 103.5 cm and the edge is another 9.5 cm.
