Rare Swedish gustavian sofa from the late 1700s. The sofa is a so called trågsoffa and is solid pine with scraped to original paint. The paint has distress and the patina of time. The decor is unusually rich and varied and is done completely by hand. The sofa is a prime example of 18th century style and craftsmanship with intricately carved details and a solid frame.

The patina has developed to the irreplaceable charm it has today with different tones in the paint and genuine antique character. The sofa has a rustic appearance combined with elegant lines and a very detailed decor making it an unquestioned focal point. Storage underneath the seat.
