18th century country bench from Sweden. The bench, a so called fållbänk, is folk art and in untouched original condition. Made during the late 1700s in pine with original faux paint and blue panel at the front. The bench also has a completely genuine patina after over 200 years of use. A fun original detail is that the lid is on hinges which are attached to the back of the lid and folds up all the way. Then when folded up it’s possible to lock in place using the original wooden wedges on each side. The bench also provides plenty of storage underneath the lid.
