Antique gustavian period chairs, so called Lindome chairs, in a set of four. Made around the year 1800 in Lindome Mölndal in southern Sweden. These chairs are called nollstolar (zero chairs) in popular speech. That is referring to the characteristic back with a decor consisting of interlocking, standing zeros. All decor is carved in wood by hand. Dry scraped by hand down to the first paint which has some distress and marks. Healthy and stable frames. Original detachable seats which are renovated with new linen fabric. The seat is 39 cm wide at the back and 47 cm wide at the front.
