Primitive antique Swedish bench in folk art from northern Sweden. The bench is made around 1820 by hand with a frame in solid pine. Original seat with generous storage underneath. Old historic paint, faux paint to imitate birch, from the mid 1800s. The original salmon coloured paint shines through where the surface has become distressed from age and use. Healthy and stable. Depth of the frame is 56 cm while depth including the lid is 58 cm, as the lid slightly extends.
