Blue rococo cabinet with desk top from Sweden. The cabinet is from the mid 1700s and made from oak and dry scraped by hand to the original blue paint. The lower cabinet has a desk top and the interior consists of small drawers while the upper cabinet has double doors and multiple shelves. Original lock and key as well as original hardware in typical rococo style. The hinges to the desk top are newer, most likely replaced during the 1800s. The highest shelf in the upper cabinet have the original notches – traditionally used to display the expensive silverware. The paint has some natural wear and a authentic patina of time.
