Gustavian wall table and desk from the late 1700s. The table is an early example of compact living where one item have multiple uses. This table has a folding table top and works well as wall table or desk which then extends to a for example dining table. Made in northern Sweden around 1790 to 1810 with straight tapered legs with a single drawer. The table is painted pine with traces of the original paint as well as the original authentic patina. Hand wrought hinges riveted to the folding top. The drawer have minor stains of ink inside and there are traces of an older repair at the left side edge against the folding top – see picture. The main table top is 116 x 49 cm and the folding top is 69 cm. Height to rim is 61 cm.
