Large rococo side table from Sweden made during the mid to late 18th century, around 1770. The table has a profiled front edge of the table top with the typical curve and form of the Swedish rococo period. The shape of the legs are another clear characteristic. It has one large drawer at the front of the rim with two drawer pulls in iron. The size of the table makes it easy to place while being large enough to retain its presence and stand out as a solid piece.
The surface is authentically rustic with shifts and tones in the paint as well as some minor areas where the pine underneath shines trough. The table has the original paint with some minor touch ups. The age of the table has created a unique distress and attractive patina that makes it even more soulful. The drawer has traces of an older restoration.
