Swedish country house bench made in solid pine during the mid 19th century, around 1850. The legs are curved with a simple hand-carved detail above the foot. The side of the bench has an extra profiling, or small flutes, running along the side for extra detail and are also completely hand-made.
The bench has old paint with some distress and wear. The distress makes the lines of the bench more visible and creates a patina that’s unique to this bench. The seat is made of one large, solid board of wood. Healthy, solid and stable.
