Swedish gustavian wall table with straight tapered legs with vertical flutes. An unusual detail is the ending of the legs which are decorated with stylised crosses. Even the protruding corners of the table top are unusual as they are typically seen on late 1700s chests. The table has a single drawer in the rim with a painted monogram and dating 1811. Made in northern Sweden in painted pine with the original distressed paint. Healthy and solid frame. The table top has a dry crack. The table top is 80 cm wide plus an additional 5 cm for the corners, height to rim is 58 cm.
